- Withdrawal of the mind and supreme peace: that is the sacred Manikarnika. The flowing stream of knowledge, the pure primal Ganga: that Kashi am I, of the nature of my own awareness.
Manikarnika and Ganga are not distant places but the stillness and clarity of awakened mind. Kashi is the recognition that the pilgrim and the holy city are one in the light of self-knowledge.
