संसारदावदहनाकरभीकरोग्र दावदहनातुरभीकरोरु ज्वालावलीभिरतिदग्धतनूरुहस्य । अभिदग्ध त्वत्पादपद्मसरसीरुहमागतस्य सरसीं शरणागतस्य, रुहमस्तकस्य लक्ष्मीनृसिंह मम देहि करावलम्बम् ॥८॥

The forest-fire of saṃsāra burns the body and mind until only refuge at the Lord's lotus feet remains. Surrender of the head is the ego's final offering into the waters of grace.
