Word breakdown
- नमः शिवाभ्यां सरसोत्सवाभ्याम्
- Salutations to the two Shivas who are the festival of Saras,
- नमस्कृताभीष्टवरप्रदाभ्याम्
- who grant desired boons to those who bow,
- नारायणेनार्चितपादुकाभ्यां
- whose sandals are worshipped by Narayana,
- नमो नमः शङ्करपार्वतीभ्याम्
- again and again salutations to Shankara and Parvati.
Boon-givers whose sandals Vishnu honors reveal the supreme pair as the source even of the preserver's reverence; when the heart bows, it bows to the reality that grants wishes yet remains beyond every wish fulfilled.
