तनीयांसं पांसुं तव चरणपङ्केरुहभवं विरिञ्चिस्सञ्चिन्वन् विरचयति लोकानविकलम् । वहत्येनं शौरिः कथमपि सहस्रेण शिरसां हरस्सङ्क्षुद्यैनं भजति भसितोद्धूलनविधिम् ॥२॥

- a minute particle of dust born from Your lotus feet
- विरिञ्चिस्सञ्चिन्वन् विरचयति लोकानविकलम् ।
- Brahma, gathering it, creates the worlds without defect
- वहत्येनं शौरिः कथमपि सहस्रेण शिरसां
- Vishnu somehow bears it on a thousand heads
- हरस्सङ्क्षुद्यैनं भजति भसितोद्धूलनविधिम् ॥२॥
- Shiva, having crushed it, honours it with the rite of smearing ash
Even the gods depend on a speck of the Goddess's grace. Cosmic offices are secondary to the ground of surrender; humility before Shakti is the Advaitin's recognition that all power flows from the one Self.
