त्वयि मयि चान्यत्रैको विष्णुः व्यर्थं कुप्यसि मय्यसहिष्णुः । भव समचित्तः सर्वत्र त्वं वाञ्छस्यचिराद्यदि विष्णुत्वम् ॥२४॥

Word breakdown
- त्वयि मयि चान्यत्रैको विष्णुः
- In you, in me, and in all else there is one Vishnu.
- व्यर्थं कुप्यसि मय्यसहिष्णुः ।
- Vainly you are angry with me, intolerant.
- भव समचित्तः सर्वत्र त्वं
- Become of equal mind toward all;
- वाञ्छस्यचिराद्यदि विष्णुत्वम् ॥२४॥
- if you desire Vishnu-hood before long.
Seeing one Vishnu in self and other becomes the basis for equanimity. Anger and intolerance arise from forgetting the single Self that shines in every form.
