Earth, water, fire, wind, sky, sun, moon, and man.
Thus appears this universe of moving and unmoving, whose very form is the eightfold elements.
Nothing else exists for the wise, because of that supreme all-pervading Lord.
To that blessed Guru-form, to Sri Dakshinamurti, this salutation.

The eight elements and all moving and unmoving forms are manifestations of the one Lord. For the discriminating sage, nothing apart from that supreme Brahman truly exists.
