- नमो विश्वकर्त्रे नमो विश्वहर्त्रे
- Salutation to the maker of the universe, to its destroyer,
- नमो विश्वभोक्त्रे नमो विश्वमात्रे ।
- to its enjoyer, to the mother of the universe;
- नमो विश्वनेत्रे नमो विश्वजेत्रे
- salutation to the eye of the universe, to its conqueror,
- नमो विश्वपित्रे नमो विश्वमात्रे
- to the father of the universe, to the mother of the universe.
Maker and mother, enjoyer and conqueror: cosmic functions collapse into one Rama so the devotee need not split the Absolute.
