दशग्रीवमुग्रं सपुत्रं समित्रं सरिद्दुर्गमध्यस्थरक्षोगणेशम् । भवन्तं विना राम वीरो नरो वा- ऽसुरो वाऽमरो वा जयेत्कस्त्रिलोक्याम् ॥२०॥

- दशग्रीवमुग्रं सपुत्रं समित्रं
- Fierce ten-necked Ravana with sons and allies,
- सरिद्दुर्गमध्यस्थरक्षोगणेशम् ।
- lord of the demon host mid the river-fort,
- भवन्तं विना राम वीरो नरो वा-
- without you, O Rama, what hero - man,
- ऽसुरो वाऽमरो वा जयेत्कस्त्रिलोक्याम्
- asura, or immortal - could conquer him in the three worlds?
Ravana's fort and hosts fall only before Rama. Dependence on the Lord is courage, not weakness.
