असीतासमेतैरकोदण्डभूषै- रसौमित्रिवन्द्यैरचण्डप्रतापैः । अलङ्केशकालैरसुग्रीवमित्रै – ररामाभिधेयैरलं दैवतैर्नः ॥२३॥

Word breakdown
- असीतासमेतैरकोदण्डभूषै-
- Gods without Sita beside them, without the bow as ornament,
- रसौमित्रिवन्द्यैरचण्डप्रतापैः ।
- unhonoured by Lakshmana, without fierce splendour,
- अलङ्केशकालैरसुग्रीवमित्रै –
- not death to the lord of Lanka, without Sugriva as friend,
- ररामाभिधेयैरलं दैवतैर्नः
- not named Rama - enough of such gods for us.
Gods lacking Sita, bow, Lakshmana, and Sugriva's bond are refused. The hymn binds form, dharma, and friendship to the name Rama.
