Word breakdown
- if there is no neglect, do You not remove those averse to meditating on You
- burdened with many evil desires, if You are unable, O Pasupati
- Brahma's head is not well-suited for that
- how was it effortlessly crushed by nail and face
The poet argues from Shiva's power over Brahma that He can remove the devotee's sins. If the Lord can crush pride effortlessly, grace can surely turn the mind from evil desire toward meditation on the Self.
