Word breakdown

You alone give the supreme fruit, the divine state
bearing them, Hari and others worship again at Your source
how great is Your kindness, O Shiva; how great my hope
when will You protect me with a glance full of compassion

All gods derive their fruit from Shiva and return to His source. The devotee's hope rests on that compassion which is the Self's own grace, ever able to protect when the mind turns homeward.
