Word breakdown

a thousand gods move in the world giving petty fruits
I do not esteem even in dream following them for their fruits
worship of Your lotus feet is hard even for those near Hari and Brahma
long I beg, O Shambhu, Shiva, for worship of Your lotus feet

Lesser gods grant limited fruits; the poet seeks only Shiva's lotus feet. True fulfilment lies not in pursuing small rewards but in devotion to the one Lord who is the Self of all.
