Word breakdown

resort of eternal bliss, refuge of gods' and sages' heart-lotuses
pure, served by good twice-born, revealed by good scents destroying impurity
go, mind, steady swan-crest, to Shiva-meditation-lake
why gain fatigue wandering to petty ponds

The mind-swans should seek Shiva's bliss-lake, not petty ponds. That lake purifies and eternally satisfies; wandering among small pleasures only wearies the seeker of the Self.
