नतिभिर्नुतिभिस्त्वमीश पूजा विधिभिर्ध्यानसमाधिभिर्न तुष्टः धनुषा मुसलेन चाश्मभिर्वा वद ते प्रीतिकरं तथा करोमि ॥८९॥

Ritual alone does not please Shiva; the devotee asks what truly delights the Lord. True worship is discovering the form of love the Self accepts, not mechanical repetition of methods.
