भ्रुवौ भुग्ने
the curved brows
भुवनभयभङ्ग
destroyer of world's fear
धनुः
the bow
रतिपतेः
of Kāma, the lord of love

The slightly arched eyebrows, dedicated to destroying the world's fears, appear as Kāma's bow strung with the bowstring of her bee-dark eyes. The poet suggests that Cupid holds this bow ready in his hand, with arrows concealed in his quiver, showing how divine beauty becomes the instrument of love's power.
