Word breakdown

पुरारातेरन्तःपुरम्
the inner palace of the city-destroyer
सपर्यामर्यादा
the proper limits of worship
तरलकरणानाम्
of those with unsteady minds
द्वारोपान्तस्थितिभिः
by dwelling at the door threshold

As Śiva's inner consort, proper worship of the Goddess's feet is difficult for those with restless minds. The gods, led by Indra, achieved matchless perfection by merely dwelling at her doorway with the eight supernatural powers. This teaches that proximity to divine presence, even at the threshold, surpasses elaborate but distracted ritual.
