समाकुञ्च्य मूलं हृदि न्यस्य वायुं मनो भ्रूबिलं प्रापयित्वा निवृत्ताः । ततः सच्चिदानन्दरूपे पदे ते भवन्त्यम्ब जीवाः शिवत्वेन केचित् ॥५॥

Word breakdown
- समाकुञ्च्य मूलं हृदि न्यस्य वायुं
- Contracting the root, placing breath in the heart,
- मनो भ्रूबिलं प्रापयित्वा निवृत्ताः ।
- bringing the mind to the brow-cave and turning inward,
- ततः सच्चिदानन्दरूपे पदे ते
- then on your foot of existence-consciousness-bliss,
- भवन्त्यम्ब जीवाः शिवत्वेन केचित्
- some souls, O Mother, become Shiva.
Yogis who merge prana in the heart and reach the brow enter her saccidananda-pada and attain Shiva-hood. The path through the chakras is ascent to the one consciousness that was never truly bound.
