विशुद्धं परं सच्चिदानन्दरूपं गुणाधारमाधारहीनं वरेण्यम् । महान्तं विभान्तं गुहान्तं गुणान्तं सुखान्तं स्वयं धाम रामं प्रपद्ये ॥१॥

Word breakdown
- विशुद्धं परं सच्चिदानन्दरूपं
- Pure, supreme, of the form of existence-consciousness-bliss,
- गुणाधारमाधारहीनं वरेण्यम् ।
- support of the gunas yet without support, most excellent;
- महान्तं विभान्तं गुहान्तं गुणान्तं
- the great, the radiant, dwelling in the cave, beyond the gunas,
- सुखान्तं स्वयं धाम रामं प्रपद्ये
- end of bliss, self-abode - in Rama I take refuge.
Refuge in Rama as saccidananda turns devotion toward the Self that needs no outer support. The gunas are upheld by that which itself is beyond them.
