सद्यःस्विद्यत्तट
immediately perspiring slopes
कूर्पासभिदुरौ
like tight bodices
त्रातुं भङ्गात्
to protect from breaking
त्रिवलि
three folds

Nature itself seems to worry about the Goddess's delicate frame, providing three protective folds at her waist like vine-bindings. This personification of caring natural forces suggests that divine beauty inspires protective response even from creation itself. Beauty becomes a cosmic responsibility shared by all existence.
