About this stotra
Minakshi Stotram is attributed to Sri Adi Shankaracharya and praises the Goddess as Meenakshi, the fish-eyed Devi who rules from the Sri Vidya seat at Madurai beside Shiva as Sundareshwara. Each verse closes with the refrain: protect me, O Meenakshi.
The hymn gathers images of the Goddess at midday worship, as Garuda to poverty's serpent, with noose and goad, seated on the blue lotus, and finally as sound-Brahman, light-Brahman, and Shiva-nature itself. This edition presents the eight-verse recension with Devanagari, IAST, and editorial focus notes.
