About this stotra
Pandurangashtakam is a beloved hymn attributed to Sri Adi Shankaracharya in praise of Lord Panduranga at Pandharpur on the Bhimarathi river. The opening verse recalls Pundarika and the sages who received the Lord's presence on the sacred bank.
Each verse closes with *parabrahmaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam*: I worship Panduranga, the mark of supreme Brahman. The hymn moves from the Lord's standing form through His ornaments, smile, and flute to the supreme abode of liberation.
