About this stotra

Bhavani Bhujangam is attributed to Sri Adi Shankaracharya and composed in the bhujanga-prayata metre. It contemplates the Goddess from the susumna lotus upward through feet, waist, breasts, arms, face, and crown, describing her as the form of chidananda, bliss-consciousness.

The hymn is treasured in Shakta devotion as a meditative ascent through the Sri Chakra's inner geometry. This edition presents the complete seventeen-verse recension found in standard sources, with Devanagari, IAST, and editorial focus notes.
